【Onaru Burial Mounds】
Located on a plateau overlooking Tateiwa Rock, the Onaru Burial Mounds are a series of 13 stone tombs from the late 6th- early 7th century. Various artifacts have been excavated from the chambers and are regarded as valuable proof of the influence the Tango Region had back in the day. There is an observation area where you can enjoy views of the Sea of Japan from the Onaru Burial Mounds. They are recognized as a Kyotango City Designated Cultural Asset.
