Shotenkyo Beach

Shotenkyo beach is on the western side of the Shotenkyo sandbar. It is a beautiful beach with white sands and green pine trees.

It is the westernmost part of the 8km “long beach”, the longest beach in Kansai which starts in Hamazume to the east.

The beach is very active in the summer with beachgoers, and is within walking distance from hotels in the Shotenkyo area. Beach camping is available at neighbouring Kazuranohama Beach.

The water quality of this beach has been rated AA, meaning it is of exceptionally good quality.
