Summer Seaside Plan

Kyotango has lots of beautiful and varied coastline. From white sand beaches to jagged rocky cliffs and everything in between.
This Summer Seaside Plan will show you lots of ways to enjoy the Sea of Japan. With suggestions for activities for a day at the beach, boat tours, and sea kayaking you're sure to get the most out a summer trip to Kyotango.

Amino Chirimen – Walking Tour
3 hours
During this course you'll have a chance to learn about one of Kyotango's most important exports. For 300 years chirimen silk has been produced in Kyotango. This special fabric is still shipped to kimono makers across the country and is used to produce top of the range kimono. You'll also get to dye your very own silk handkerchief which you can take home as a souvenir.

Relaxed Pace Itinerary

Take your time on this relaxed trip around Kyotango. Enjoying the sites at your own pace you can express your creative side by painting a guardian cat figure. There is also a chance to relax under the autumn leaves in a woodland retreat.

From the start of November fresh crab is back on the menu. Kyotango's brand, Taiza-gani, are sometimes called phantom crab due to their rarity. Only in Kyotango will you get the freshest, and the most reasonable prices too.
