Nishijin textile, originating in Kyoto, is one of Japan’s oldest traditional crafts.
At the Nishijin Asagi Museum, you have the chance to visit an Open Factory and learn first-hand how Nishijin Textiles are made.
The textiles produced by Nishijin Brocade Asagi Arts and Crafts are woven by skilled craftsmen using-highly detailed 1,800 needle jacquard looms.

Adult 500 yen
Children aged 15-18 400 yen
University Students (with proof) 400 yen
