A Kimono Festival and Parade, held at one of Japan’s Three Scenic Views
Overview
At Amanohashidate, a Kimono parade will walk from Chionji Temple to the Hashidate Tea House, joined by special guests including Amanohashidate’s Kasabou and Kyotango’s Koppe-chan!
On site, there will also be booths selling traditional Japanese clothing and accessories, workshops, and food.
Visitors without kimonos are also free to participate, with kimono rentals available (reservation required).
Not only is wearing a kimono a lot of fun, visitors can also see, experience, and immerse themselves in Japanese culture.

Kimono Parade
Course: Chionji Temple – Hashidate Tea House
Gather for departure from Hashidate Daimaru, reception begins at 1:30 PM.
In addition to participating in the parade, participants will all recieve the following gifts:
Special souvenier (worth of approx. 1,000 yen), dango and tea set, photo calendar (limited to 100 participants). Photos will also be taken by a professional cameraman.

Kimono Rentals (Reservation Required)
Reception begins at 10:00 AM
Location: Yoshino Tea House, 2nd floor (Aji Koubo Mamaya)
Fee:
Fitting service: 3,000 yen
Kimono Rental: 3,000 yen
Haori Rental: 500 yen
Kimono Lunch (Reservation Required)
A special lunch at Yoshino Teahouse, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM.
As space is limited, reservations are first come first served (limit 35 guests).

Kids’ Kimono Dance Performance
A dance performance from the Petite Etoile dance school.
Performances:
11:00 AM, Chionji Temple
1:00 PM, Chionji Temple
3:00 PM, Hashidate Daimaru 2nd floor.

Kimono mini-Fashion Show
A fashion show where visitors can experience the charm of Kimonos.
Begins at 3 PM, Hashidate Daimaru 2nd floor.
