Barefoot Concert 2026 at Kaizō-ji Temple

“Barefoot Concert 2026,” an event promoting environmental conservation at Kotohiki Beach and fostering community through music.
This year’s venue is Kaizō-ji Temple, the guardian temple of the beach, situated on a hill near Kotohiki Beach.
The day’s activities include an early morning Zen meditation session, a beach cleanup at Kotohiki Beach, a concert on the temple grounds, food trucks, and a flea market—offering a full day of enjoyment.
Why not enjoy music and socializing while connecting with the natural beauty of the ocean and reflecting on the environment?
Participants will receive free admission to the “Kotohiki Beach Singing Sand Cultural Museum.”

■Schedule
7:00 AM: Zen meditation experience at Kaizō-ji Temple
8:45 AM: Beach cleanup registration begins
9:30 AM: Kotohiki Beach Cleanup (Procession to the beach led by Wadaiko drumming)
10:30 AM: Beach Cleanup ends
10:30 AM–: Barefoot Concert begins
