Orchestra Introduction:

Formed in 1972, the Kyoto Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra is celebrating its 54th anniversary this year. In addition to organizing regular concerts, special performances, chamber music concerts, and introductory classical music concerts for children, the ensemble frequently performs at concert halls across the country, on television and radio, and at arts festivals. Guided by the philosophy of “High quality and enjoyable performances,” the ensemble actively collaborates not only with classical musicians but also with performers from other fields, such as traditional Japanese performing arts and entertainers, earning widespread acclaim as a “challenge-seeking chamber orchestra.”
