Enjoy a summer festival at Kyoto Prefectures northernmost Temple

The 2026 Anamonjyu Festival will be held on Monday, August 24th! As in previous years, there will be stalls selling food and drink, performances from local bands, and 200 fireworks shot into the sky for your viewing pleasure. The festival will take place on the Anamonju grounds inside of Seiryozan Kuhonji Temple.

The grounds will be open from 5:30 to 9:30 PM.

Festival Schedule:

• 6:00pm Anamonjyu Prayer (for related parties)
• 7:00pm Ukawa Band, Tong-Pei Performances
• 8:00pm Anamonjyu Prayer (for all attendees)
• 8:10pm fireworks start*
• After the fireworks the Hashiudo Band will perform
• 9:30pm Grounds Close

*In the event of bad weather, the fireworks may be postponed to the next day.
