A Herbal Tea workshop will be held at Wakuden no Mori in Kumihama, Kyotango.

At the School of Earth, you can learn about the Tango region, nature, culture and cuisine alongside local food producers. The workshops offer fulfilling experiences where you learn about food while engaging with the forest’s natural environment and the wisdom and skills of the people who live in the area.

Overview

This time, a workshop will be hosted at Wakuden no Mori with a guest from iroha, a herb shop located in Hidakacho Arakawa, Toyooka, where participants will make use of herbs grown at Wakuden no Mori to blend their own herbal tea.

After learning the names, scents and effects of about 20 different locally grown herbs, participants will create their own blend, have an opportunity to sample it and be able to bring about 10 servings home.

There will also be a children’s corner where kids can make their own scented omamori’s and flower decorations.
