Learning, Making and Eating for Long Lives and a Beautiful Kyotango

Overview

At Tango Kingdom Shoku-no-Miyako, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the local cuisine and produce of Kyotango!

Food and workshops will include:

• Our Families’ Barazushi (Tasting from 11:00-3:00) – multiple families will be making their version of the dish. The first 30 visitors will be able to try all of the different versions, and create a Barazushi Map describing the different flavors and styles of the different families.
• Tango’s Ingredients, Italian Style (11:00-3:00) – fresh food will be available for purchase made from local Tango produce, including lasanga and jello.
• Workshops (10:00-3:00) – Options for kids and adults, such as making your own barazushi-keychains, candles made with recovered oil, and picture book reading!
• Presentations (10:00-12:00) – There will also be presentations from Kyotango City about their in-progress projects to develop Kyotango’s gourmet culture
